DESCRIPTION:S.P.E.A.K | Public Speaking Sessions \n\nJUNE 8\, 2021 | 3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. \n\n\n\nDo you have a fear or anxiety over the thought of public speaking? Do you cringe at an event when you are asked to deliver a 30-second commercial about your business and services? Or do you just want to improve your current communication skills? S.P.E.A.K.\,  is back and could be the group for you.  This 6 session program explores many tips and tactics to enhance your public speaking.  The acronym stands for Supporting our Peers and Encouraging Articulate Keynoters.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe group was formed in 2012 by WCCCC past President Adrienne Mackenzie\, who has a great deal of public speaking experience through her long marketing career and her motivational speaking business. Adrienne's goal for the group is to provide a warm friendly atmosphere in which individuals can improve not just their speaking skills\, but also become better thinkers and listeners. There is always a leader of the day\, a quote of the day\, and a word of the day. There are two main speakers at each meeting who offer a five-to-seven minute presentation in which the word of the day must be incorporated. Other impromptu speeches are a part of the class\, where topics are randomly chosen to be given in a one-to-two minute speech. The whole group works together to provide positive feedback and helpful comments so that each speaker can improve as the classes go on.\n\n\n\nSince its first initial run\, S.P.E.A.K. has been very successful and its return\n\n is highly anticipated. S.P.E.A.K. currently offers Chamber members a 3-month\n\n long session\, where the group meets 2 times a month\, for a one-hour class.\n\n\n\nFor the total 6 classes\, the price is $100 a person. The kick-off meeting will be on\n\nJune 8th\, at Stargazers Vineyard from 3:15   4:15 p.m.\n\n\n\nEveryone can benefit from S.P.E.A.K. as public speaking is a vital part of business\n\nconnections and relationships. Not only will you learn how to address a large audience\,\n\nbut also\, how to better articulate yourself in casual communication\, benefiting both\n\nyour professional and personal life.
