A Tradition of Impact Celebration | 110 years of the Chamber
In 1916, A. F. Huston (Lukens Steel), Harry I. Schotter (Electric Light Company), and F. W. Harris (Midvale Steel Plant), three men who led companies involved in the region's industrialization, called for a meeting to organize a Chamber of Commerce in the city. The meeting was a rousing success as within a month they had reached their membership goal, and were immediately recognized as a driving force in Chester County’s growth and industrialization.
Join Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce for an evening of celebration as we commemorate 110 years of impact, innovation, community leadership and the businesses behind it all!
This special event honors more than a century of dedication to supporting local businesses, fostering economic growth, and strengthening the connections that make our region thrive. Throughout the evening, we will reflect on the Chamber’s rich history and recognize the individuals and businesses who have helped shape ChescoWest success; including YOU, our members, past Board Members, members who have dedicated years of Committee service, and integral partners as we look ahead to an exciting future together.
