Each year we present our Chamber awards at the Annual Dinner: The Joseph G. Filoromo, Jr. Community Service Award and the Elliott R. Jones Award for an individual who has contributed significantly to the mission of the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber will honor Dr. Michael Givler with the Joseph G. Filoromo Jr. Community Service Award
The Western Chester County Chamber has benefited from the leadership of Michael Givler, as he was part of the original group of board directors in 2000 that revitalized the Chamber. Michael, or as his friends call him, Mick, served as WCCC President in 2009 and is still active through his Lukens Band membership where he serves as their band manager and treasurer. Dr. Givler has been active in community service his whole life. He served as President of The Rotary Club of Coatesville in 2007 and currently serves as treasurer. Mike serves on the Citadel Federal Credit Union board of directors and is very active with his church, Olivet United Methodist, where he organizestheir Bread & Blessing Community Lunch program including getting grant money for this program, getting the food, and organizing volunteers for this community outreach. Mike was the former Principal of Friendship School, formally worked for the Chester County Department of Community Development, and was the Coatesville Main Street Manager.
